Our Friends

Nearly 49 million people in the U.S. suffer from hunger. That is 1 in 6 of the U.S. population – including more than 1 in 5 children. Today in Texas, nearly 1 in 5 adults and 1 in 4 children are hungry. In Austin, 61% of the children in the Austin Independent School District are eligible for a free or reduced lunch.

Hunger – no matter where it lives – is unacceptable. Here are a few Austin organizations that do incredible work every day to help eradicate hunger in our community. If you’d like to support DishLit, kindly consider donating (or volunteering for one of them) today.
